1. Overview 

These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (“Agreement”) govern your access and use of the Solar Shakti mobile application (“App”) developed and maintained by Solar Shakti Proenergy Ltd. (“Solar Shakti”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms. 

If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please uninstall the App and do not use our services. 

2. Eligibility 

By using this App, you represent that: 

• You are at least 18 years of age. 
• You are legally competent to enter into a binding agreement. 
• You are using the app for lawful purposes and personal or authorized business use.

3. Permissions & Mobile Access 

The App may request access to the following mobile device features: 

• Location data (to assess solar availability by geography) 
• Camera and photo library (for KYC or panel registration) 
• Push notifications 
• Storage (to cache dashboard data) 
• Internet and network state 

Permissions are requested only when necessary, and you can manage them in your device settings. 

4. Account Creation and Management 

To use core features of the App, you must: 

• Register using your name, mobile number, email, and optionally utility account number. ● Maintain accuracy of your personal information. 
• Keep your login credentials confidential. 
• Accept responsibility for activities under your account. 

5. Services via App 

The App allows you to: 

• Subscribe to Digital Solar Capacity 
• Monitor solar energy production and credits
• View your dashboard 
• Apply earned credits to your electricity bill 
• Receive notifications related to your subscription, performance reports, or payment reminders 

All services are subject to availability and may change over time. 

6. Payment Terms 

• Payments can be made via UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, or mobile wallets. 
• Payment confirmation and invoices are delivered electronically within the app or via registered email. 
• Solar Shakti is not responsible for failures due to payment gateway errors or insufficient funds. 
• Refunds, if applicable, are governed by Section 12. 

7. Privacy Policy 

7.1 Data We Collect 

We collect the following data through the App: 

• Personally identifiable data (name, email, mobile number) 
• Utility account information 
• Transaction and billing history 
• Location and device information 
• App usage analytics

7.2 Purpose of Collection 

We use the collected data to: 

• Provide solar credit management services 
• Process payments and allocate credits 
• Improve service delivery and app performance 
• Personalize user experience and deliver updates 

7.3 Data Sharing 

We may share your data with: 

• Utility bill payment partners 
• Hosting partners 
• Authorized government agencies upon legal request 

We never sell your data to third parties. 

7.4 Data Storage and Protection 

Your data is stored on secure servers. We apply encryption and access controls to protect data from misuse and unauthorized access. 

8. Push Notifications & Communications 

You consent to receive transactional and promotional push notifications. You may opt out of promotional notifications via app settings or by emailing info@solarshakti.co.in. 

9. User Conduct 

You agree not to:

• Misuse the App or attempt to reverse-engineer it 
• Submit false information during registration 
• Violate any laws in connection with your use of the App 
• Attempt unauthorized access to our systems or data 

10. Intellectual Property 

All logos, visuals, data, text, code, and trademarks are owned by Solar Shakti or its licensors. Unauthorized use or duplication of any content is strictly prohibited. 

11. Limitation of Liability 

We do our best to ensure high-quality and uninterrupted service, but Solar Shakti is not liable for: 

• Downtime due to updates or force majeure 
• Incorrect billing due to utility-side errors 
• App malfunction due to device incompatibility or outdated OS 

 

12. Refund & Cancellation Policy 

• Refunds are assessed based on activation status and energy generation performance. ● Requests must be submitted via the app’s support channel or your account dashboard. ● Bonus/referral credits are non-refundable. 
• Once a subscription is canceled, unused credits will lapse.

 

13. Termination 

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account if you: 

• Violate these terms 
• Attempt fraud or misuse credits 
• Cause reputational or operational harm to Solar Shakti 

Upon termination, your access to the app and services will cease, and unused credits may be forfeited. 

14. App Store Terms 

The App is distributed through Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store. In case of conflict between store-specific terms and this Agreement, the store’s policies shall apply for download and refund. 

15. Dispute Resolution 

Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will be held in New Delhi, India, in English. 

16. Changes to Terms 

We reserve the right to modify this document at any time. Updates will be reflected in the App, and your continued use constitutes acceptance.
